How Do I Know If I Am A Sex Addict?

Is your sexual behaviour compulsive, uncontrollable, obsessive?
Is your sexual behaviour causing serious problems (e.g. losing jobs or relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, or sexual offenses)?
Are you excessively obsessed with sex? (i.e you think about sex ALL the the time)

Taking a screening test

In addition to asking yourself these questions, before you come in to see us, you can take a free compulsive sexual behaviour / Compulsive Sexual Behaviour screening test (SAST) to assess for the presence of sex addiction and differentiate between addictive and non-addictive behaviour. Please keep in mind that the test is not used as a substitute for receiving professional help.
The test was developed by the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP) an organisation that provides world-class educational resources to practitioners who treat individuals with addictive and compulsive behaviours in the areas of finance, alcohol and chemical dependencies, eating disorders and sexual acting out. IITAP’s Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) programme has provided training to the Relationship – Therapy & Recovery therapists in the area of sex addiction over the past decade.
